Also "large address aware" on old 32 bit games like NV.ĬPU drops (Need more powerful CPU cores to fix) The drops were in the teens with an core 2 duo e8400 and in the twenties with a Q9550. HDD (I used 10,000 rpm WD Raptors to fix). Stutter(not micro) in these games have 3 causes. I feel very lucky that I am getting no micro-stutter at all now but I know that it could come back with any motherboard or GPU upgrade. The GTX 1080 ti was the last GPU I used with that motherboard and it had no micro stutter. When I upgraded to a GTX 1080 the micro-stutter was back so I used the 980 ti for any Gamebryo games(Fallout 4, Skyrim SE, Skyrim, Fallout NV, Fallout 3 and Oblivion). I replaced the 970 with a 980 and later with a 980 ti with no stutter. I put the card in another computer that had the same motherboard but a few revisions newer and there was no micro stutter. In this instance it is an incompatibility between the video card and the motherboard that is revealed by the Gamebryo engine.įor example, I had it with all the Gamebryo games I owned when I used a GTX 970. Though I'm honestly curious, how would you describe this micro stuttering, what exactly qualifies as such? And if not you still should use them, hehe!
